Advisory meeting was organized in the area of Dera Ghazi
Khan in the agricultural sector. Additional Deputy Commissioner General Ghulam
Yasin presided over the task force and Advisory Committee meeting, saying that
farmers should take appropriate measures of irrigation and play role for the
timely acquisition of cotton cultivation. Agriculture department can guide
farmers to guide farmers. He said that cotton is important in the domestic
economy. Department of Agriculture field officers should farm the farmers till
harvesting. Deputy Director Agriculture Expansion Seal Abid Hussain said that
the cultivation of cotton in the district was estimated to be two lakh 52
thousand acres target. At that time more than two million 35,000 acres have
been cultivated. All the resources are being used for the target of cotton
cultivation. In the meeting, cotton farmers cultivated citrus for gusepalore
rats used for procurement of pink caddy. The meeting was attended by deputy
director's live stock Dr. Sajjad Sultan, representatives of agricultural
organizations, Hafiz Khalid Rauf, Mian Hassan Dhirja, Mian Qasim Qureshi,
representatives of technical officers and other officials, including farmer
