Awais Laghari, Hafiz Abdul Karim, Shabbir Laghari
Former president and the then head of his Millat Party, Farooq Ahmed Khan Laghari won this seat in 2002 as a National Alliance candidate, defeating his cousin Maqsood Leghari’s son, Mohammad Khan Leghari, who was an independent candidate.
In 2008, Farooq Laghari was candidate of PML-Q while PML-N fielded new comer from D.G.Khan city an Ahle- Hadith Aalim Hafiz Abdul Karim.

Lghari defeated Hafiz Abdul Karim with margin of just 4000 votes while PPP’s candidate Shabbir Ahmed Leghari remained third but got considerable 36000 votes.
In 2010 Farooq Laghari died and in bye elections his son Awais Ahmed Laghari on PML-Q ticket defeated Hafiz Abdul karim and this time with quite comfortable margin of 21K votes. In 2011 both Laghari brothers, Jamal Lagharri and Awais Laghari defected to Imran khan’s PTI though Awais did not resigned from his yet.
Update: Laghari Brothers left PTI and contesting independantly while cousin o f their father Maqsood Laghari is contesting on PML-Q ticket with support of PPP, while PML-N is in race with their old candidate Hafiz Abdul Karim. with divided vote bank Lghari’ now its possible for PML-N to take the edge and pocket the seat.
